Hi! My name is Gary Mahoney and I just want to keep alive the unique art of flint-knapping.
Well, to start off I have been collecting rocks since I started walking. I began really working with them about fifteen years ago, learning the reproduction of stone artifacts. I have been chipping out arrowheads and spear points, learning different styles from many cultures. I have passed on my skills to many, in both private lessons and special orders for those wanting their own collection. I am now offering my artwork to the public, as well as private collectors. Each piece autheniciates particular point styles from different time farmes, including Paleo (over 6,500 years ago), to modern Hopewells, which are just a few hundred years old. Many of the points showed in theses photos are included in these categories. I am now offering rocks, starter kits, beginner tool and supply sets, and basic instructional videos to be out soon! All you have to do is contact me by e~mail at gmahoney@centurytel.net to place an order or leave a comment. I am always interested in hearing others thoughts on my work, or the flint-knapping industry in general.
